Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: [ add date ] · This is a template — see the note at the foot of this page.

This policy sets out what happens if you need to cancel or change a confirmed booking. The exact charges depend on how far ahead of travel you cancel.

Cancellation by you

To cancel, notify us in writing at hello@keralabackpackers.com. Cancellation charges apply based on the notice given before your travel start date:

  • More than [ 45 ] days before: [ e.g. deposit only ] retained;
  • [ 30-45 ] days before: [ e.g. 25% ] of tour cost;
  • [ 15-29 ] days before: [ e.g. 50% ] of tour cost;
  • [ 7-14 ] days before: [ e.g. 75% ] of tour cost;
  • Less than [ 7 ] days before or no-show: [ e.g. 100% ] of tour cost.

Refunds

Any refund due (per the scale above) is processed within [ e.g. 14 ] business days to your original payment method. Bank or transaction fees may be deducted.

Some costs are non-refundable once incurred on your behalf (e.g. confirmed flights, special-event bookings, certain hotel deposits).

Changes to a booking

Date or itinerary changes are treated as subject to availability and may incur supplier charges plus any difference in price.

Cancellation by us

In the rare event we must cancel (e.g. force majeure, safety), we will offer an alternative date or a refund of recoverable costs. We are not liable for incidental costs such as flights you booked separately — travel insurance is strongly advised.

Peak-season & special terms

Bookings over peak dates ([ e.g. 20 Dec-5 Jan ]) and certain special packages may carry stricter terms, which we will tell you at the time of booking.
